One Iconic Journey.

1958

1958 – The Beginning 

Cream Centre was founded by the visionary Mr. Ramesh Chona. What began as a humble eatery soon became a destination for authentic vegetarian food, built on the philosophy of taste, quality, and innovation. Having fled from Karachi during the Partition, Mr. Chona was exploring business opportunities in India when he noticed a gap, Mumbai lacked authentic Punjabi food. Inspired by this, he conceptualised Cream Centre. The famous Channa Bhatura, a treasured family recipe, was added to the menu and became an instant hit.

1980

A Visionary Who Brought The World To The Plate

Mr. Sanjiv Chona introduced India to a new culinary world with signature creations like World’s Best Nachos©, Mexican Burrito Bowl, and Italian Baked Penne Rosa — transforming Cream Centre into a pioneer of global dining.

A Flavour Revolution 

The launch of the Original Paneer Tikka redefined vegetarian dining in Mumbai. This iconic dish became an immediate favourite and continues to be celebrated for its authentic flavour and unmatched taste.

The Chaat Craze

Cream Centre introduced Chaat to its menu, infusing the vibrant, tangy flavours of India’s favourite street food into the restaurant experience. From Pani Puri and Delhi Papdi Chaat to Karara Aloo Tikki Channa Chaat, Awadhi Samosa Chaat, and even the globally inspired Mexican Chaat, this innovation gave patrons yet another reason to keep coming back.
